PhD students; do you ever feel lazy and unproductive? I keep reading about PhD students who put 8+ hours into their work every single day. They eat, breathe, and sleep their work. It makes me feel very unproductive. I want to know, how many of you actually work on your PhD projects for 8+ hours every single day? I tend to put 8+ hours per day. PhD work is usually not very compatible with laziness and procrastination, although some may help. By itself, being lazy and procrastinating a lot is not incompatible with quality research output.
